I was just curious if XN was thinking of having a BF5 server.
I realize the game does not preload until like Oct 12, but was just thinking about it.

I highly doubt they have server rentals.
I would image it's gonna be just like BF1.
They control the servers now.

Yep. I don't think DICE really liked the way that server hosting companies gave that much control over the servers with plugins and customization like in BF3, BFH, and BF4. They are setting it up pretty much like the servers on console.

I was unaware of the whole server thing. Last game I bought was BF3.
Maybe things will change but probably not.

It's more about control of "when" a game is discontinued. Developers need to get paid.... /s
