Geoff's Big Bash returns

As we hit October and the nights grow colder, we already begin the countdown to this year's GOTY season, as video game fans the world over pick over their favorite titles, to ascertain which games represented the crowning achievements of good tech and good times in 2022. And, of course, it wouldn't be the GOTY season without the coming of Geoff Keighley's big-ass extreme bash: The Game Awards.
This year, ticket-buying members of the public will be able to purchase entry to the live event. This marks the first time the public is allowed entry to the event, having been understandably being barred from attending since the onset of COVID-19. For the 2022 event, however, we mere peasants will be allowed to rub shoulders with the game industry's great and good, (there are some, honestly), to enjoy a few hours of live performances, trophy handouts, and trailer, after trailer, after trailer ? no doubt rounded out with a 20-second video from Hideo Kojima.
So, if you fancy heading to Los Angeles for this year's event to see Elden Ring win everything, then keep your eyes glued to both Geoff Keighley's Twitter, and the Microsoft Theater website. Tickets will go on sale on November 1, though the price for entry is yet to be been announced. Be sure to iron your T-shirt with a tuxedo drawn on it, and don't forget to bring your wheelie shoes and invisible dog leash. We'll make them sorry that they ever re-opened the doors to the little people.
The Game Awards 2022 will take place December 8 at Microsoft Theater, Los Angeles.
