Other popular topics included The Game Awards 2020, the League of Legends Worlds tournament, eSports team FaZe Clan, and The Future of Gaming PS5 event. Obviously, the ongoing COVID-19 pandemic is partly responsible for the increase in both tweets and accounts, as is the hype for next-gen platforms PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X.
