Ah, publisher surveys. You gotta love 'em. Sometimes they'll press certain companies into reviving age-old properties, and what better company to dig up old chestnuts than Capcom.
The latest survey comes by way of the Japanese site Capcom Town (https://captown.capcom.com/en/super_elections), which is currently hosting a "super election" with 10 simple questions to answer. There are nominal rewards involved for reaching certain participation milestones, but the rule rub lies within the content of the questions themselves.
Let's take a look at what could be cooking at Capcom in the next decade or so.

Who is your favorite Capcom character?
What do you look for in Capcom games?

Are there any Capcom game series (including spinoff games) that you would like to see get a sequel or new game?
Is there a game you'd like to see completely remade with the latest technology, including character designs and story direction?

Which Capcom game has influenced you the most?
Do you have a complaint you would like to share with Capcom?

As is the case with Capcom at any given moment, several of these franchises have gotten a few refreshes over the years (even Ghosts 'n Goblins (https://www.destructoid.com/reviews/review-ghosts-n-goblins-resurrection/)), and some of them are currently undergoing a lengthy hiatus. But the ones that stick out like a sore thumb include Onimusha (which hasn't gotten a mainline title since 2006, but did see a remaster in 2018, and an anime in 2023), and Dino Crisis: which has been as dead as a dinosaur since 2003 (some would say even before that).
This is F-Zero-level dormancy here (granted, that one at least got a snazzy "99" battle royale spinoff (https://www.destructoid.com/f-zero-99-brings-the-series-back-as-a-battle-royale-available-today/)). Maybe one day some of these forgotten stories will be retold. Hey Capcom, where's the Asura's Wrath option?
