I?ve heard of DNF Duel but know next to nothing about it. There was a lot of PR stuff coming at us in the lead-up and some excitement around the launch, but I think the fighting game market is pretty jammed up with heavy hitters to the point where it maybe didn?t catch fire. It?s a tough market for newcomers. It?s a spin-off of Dungeon & Fighter, which I also don?t know a whole lot about.

When I hear the acronym ?DNF,? my mind first goes to ?did not finish,? and then afterward goes to ?Duke Nukem Forever (https://www.destructoid.com/duke-nukem-forever-proves-the-worst-part-of-duke-nukem/).?
I do know something about the Epic Games Store. It gives away a lot of free games and doesn?t make any money for Epic. I installed it for Ghostbusters Spirits Unleashed (https://www.destructoid.com/reviews/review-ghostbusters-spirits-unleashed-pc-ps4-ps5-xbox/) and uninstalled it once that game came to Steam.
DNF Duel does seem like a good time (https://www.destructoid.com/reviews/dnf-duel-review-destructoid-fighting-game-nexon-dungeon-fighter-arc-system-works/), though. You certainly can?t argue with the price of free. However, you?ll have to act now-ish, since the sale is only for 24 hours. It ends on December 21, 2023, at 11am EST.
