Sony has announced a strong assortment of titles headed to PlayStation Plus Extra and Premium subscribers in the Game Catalog this November, including several PlayStation Classics being added with glow-ups included.

The headliners this month, outside of the Classics games, are likely Dragon?s Dogma: Dark Arisen and Teardown. Teardown is a day-and-date release for PlayStation Plus subscribers. The sandbox title launches November 15 and was wonderfully broken down via a recent launch trailer narrated by Owen Wilson himself (https://www.destructoid.com/teardown-console-launch-trailer-owen-wilson/).

Do your homework ahead of Dragon's Dogma 2

Dragon's Dogma: Dark Arisen is a port of the PlayStation 4 version of the game that earned a 78 on Metacritic (https://www.metacritic.com/game/dragons-dogma-dark-arisen/critic-reviews/?platform=playstation-4). It's a 2016 action RPG from Capcom where you'll explore a large open world with a trio of AI companions. This version also includes all of the previously released DLC.

Mobile Suit Gundam: Extreme vs. Maxi Boost On is another very well-received PlayStation 4 title that's included this month. We lauded the 2020 3D fighter (https://www.destructoid.com/reviews/review-mobile-suit-gundam-extreme-vs-maxiboost-on/), praising it for a "more properly thought-out offline suite, split-screen support, LAN mode, a deep roster, and an improved netcode all lead to a superior package that can appeal to even non-Gundam fans."

Dead Island: Riptide Definitive Edition is a post-apocalyptic first-person shooter that you can probably skip (https://www.destructoid.com/reviews/video-review-dead-island-riptide/). The perception puzzler, Superliminal, is on the way later this month. We thought it was "Great" in our November 2019 review (https://www.destructoid.com/reviews/review-superliminal/).

Also included this month is Eiyuden Chronicle: Rising, a Kickstarter prequel to the upcoming action RPG Eiyuden Chronicle: Hunderd Heroes. We also gave Eiyuden Chronicle: Rising a "Great" review (https://www.destructoid.com/reviews/review-eiyuden-chronicle-rising/), fueling even more hype toward Hundred Heroes' release in April 2024.

Nobunaga?s Ambition: Taishi is a 2018 turn-based strategy title from Koei Tecmo Games. Its PlayStation 4 version earned a 70 on Metacritic (https://www.metacritic.com/game/nobunagas-ambition-taishi/critic-reviews/?platform=playstation-4).

Alternate Jake Hunter: Daedalus The Awakening of Golden Jazz is a visual novel with a mouthful of a name. It's an interrogation murder mystery set in New York City that pulls your inner detective out. And River City Melee Mach!! is, as you might expect, a retro-styled 2D beat 'em-up from Arc System Works.

The classics

Finally, there's a quartet of PlayStation Premium Classics games coming our way. Grandia, a legendary PlayStation 1 RPG is coming to the Catalog, complete with up-rendered graphics, a rewind feature, quick save, and custom video filters.

The iconic 1997 PlayStation racer, Jet Moto is getting a makeover as well. It too features up-rendered looks, quick save, rewind, and custom video filters.

Disney Pixar's Up is an inclusion for all the younger players out there. It didn't review very well (https://www.metacritic.com/game/disney-pixar-up-2009/), but the 2009 adventure game is one your kids may enjoy.

Klonoa Phantasy Reverie Series combines the PlayStation 1's Klonoa: Door to Phantomile and PlayStation 2's Klonoa 2: Lunatea?s Veil into one package. The pair's looks have both been upgraded and adjustable difficulty settings were implemented to make the games more accessible. We gave it a 7 (https://www.destructoid.com/reviews/klonoa-phantasy-reverie-series-review/) when it was released initially in July 2022.

Finally, but perhaps most excitedly for many, is the inclusion of PaRappa the Rapper 2. Originally released on PlayStation 2, the game's graphics have since been upgraded and Trophy support was added to this iconic rapping rhythm title.

Teardown is available for PlayStation Plus subscribers at launch on November 15. Everything else rolls out to those with the subscription service on November 21. Be sure to be thankful for these throwback titles during Thanksgiving break.
