Analogue has announced that the next in their line-up of limited edition Analogue Pocket colors. This time, they?re revisiting the rainbow (https://store.analogue.co/#pocket-limited-editions) of Game Boy consoles. Even Game Boy Light.

When the Game Boy was first released in 1989, it came in one color, and that was grey. In 1995, they released the ?Play It Loud? line-up of colors. They came in red, green, blue, yellow, black and clear. When the Game Boy Pocket came out in 1996, it came in similar colors, plus a few more, such as pink. This run of Analogue Pockets comes in all these colors, plus the Indigo and Spice of the Game Boy Advance, but minus the colors that they?ve already covered, such as clear and black.

This year has seen the boutique handheld get released in a number of limited edition colors, and usually, they sell out almost immediately. The handheld uses FPGA hardware emulation to recreate classic handheld consoles with as much accuracy as possible while adding modern comforts (https://www.destructoid.com/analogue-pocket-impressions-review-hands-on/). While it works with Game Boy games out of the box, there are adapters for other consoles, such as the Atari Lynx and even the Turbografx.

Pre-orders open up on November 17th, and the consoles will ship on November 20th. They?re priced at $249 USD compared to a non-limited version at $219.

Meanwhile, I?m still waiting for my Analogue Duo to ship.
