Sonic Superstars is one of many big titles scheduled to release in October. In the lead-up to the game, we've slowly been learning more about what Sonic Team is preparing. There's a new rival called Trip who's going to have an interesting backstory. Although Sonic Superstars is ditching the pixel art style of Sonic Mania (https://www.destructoid.com/sega-explains-why-a-sonic-mania-sequel-didnt-happen/), it'll retain the gameplay of classic Sonic titles.

With only weeks away from the game's release, Sega has revealed the music for the Pinball Carnival Zone. The track, which is composed by Rintaro Soma (https://twitter.com/rintarosoma/status/1699976367507661198), is a smooth yet energetic tune featuring plenty of retro polyphonic beeps and a beat that's sure to get you pumped to go fast. This isn't the only music we've heard from Sonic Superstars (https://www.destructoid.com/hands-on-sonic-superstars-co-op-is-chaos-controlled/), as we also got a snippet of the Bridge Island Zone's music (https://twitter.com/Sephys00/status/1674757809244717058) in a gameplay stream from Sega.

The importance of music in SonicIt's no mistake that a song reveal is being used to hype fans, as music has been an important part of the franchise's identity since its beginning. To celebrate Sonic's musical history, Sega has a Sonic Symphony World Tour (https://www.sonicsymphonytour.com/) kicking off this month that features an orchestra recreating some of the beloved soundtracks from throughout the decades.

The soundtrack is in good hands, as the main composer is Jun Senoue. Franchise fans will be familiar with this name, as he has worked on the music of a few series titles including Sonic the Hedgehog 3 and Sonic Heroes. He'll be assisted by Sonic Mania composer Tee Lopes, who has excitedly assured fans that Superstars will feature an even better soundtrack.
Sonic Superstars is scheduled to release on October 17 on Nintendo Switch, PC, PlayStation, and Xbox.
