If you're still playing Pokemon Go, you're probably going to be jazzed about the latest addition to the game: the Paldea region. A handful of new creatures are entering the fray soon (https://pokemongolive.com/post/paldea-region-launch), which is scheduled for a September 5 at 10AM (local) through September 10 through 10AM (local) debut.
Because it's Niantic, this isn't a full kickoff for Scarlet & Violet; just a drip-fed rollout of a select few characters.

Here are the evolution requirements:
25 Sprigatito Candy to evolve Sprigatito into Floragato, and 100 Sprigatito Candy to evolve Floragato into Meowscarada.
25 Fuecoco Candy to evolve Fuecoco into Crocalor, and 100 Fuecoco Candy to evolve Crocalor into Skeledirge.
25 Quaxly Candy to evolve Quaxly into Quaxwell, and 100 Quaxly Candy to evolve Quaxwell into Quaquaval.
50 Lechonk Candy to evolve Lechonk into Oinkologne.
Bringing a selection of Paldean Pokemon into the fray still isn't a big winRubbing salt in the wound, Niantic also announced in that same blog post that Unowns were returning to the raid pool, but they haven't addressed many complaints from fans earlier this year (https://www.destructoid.com/pokemon-gos-upcoming-raid-changes-straight-up-suck/). There are constant posts on many communities talking about how they play less (https://www.reddit.com/r/pokemongo/comments/164ukyl/if_remote_raid_passes_were_100_coins_still_i/) (myself included) after the remote raid price was hiked to 195 Pokecoins in March of 2023. This is on top of stingy reward payouts (https://www.reddit.com/r/pokemongo/comments/1651vgq/50_coins_per_day_is_too_low/) for players.
Oddly, Generation 8 starters (and much of the Galar region in general) are nowhere to be found, which is confusing a ton of fans. The Pokemon Company has a lot of sway here in terms of what actually gets rolled out when, but Niantic's track record has given folks pause as to when that might actually happen.
