Numbered 960 on the National Pok?dex, Wiglett was introduced in Pokemon Scarlet and Violet (https://www.destructoid.com/reviews/review-pokemon-scarlet-nintendo-switch-game-freak/). While they resembled the shorter and more girthy Diglett, Wiglett is considered a different species rather than a regional variant. You can tell Wiglett apart by its much longer, slender length capped off by a red, nose-like tip.
