"A modern take on the legendary franchise"Today at the Summer Game Fest kickoff (https://www.destructoid.com/join-us-for-the-summer-game-fest-2023-live-stream/), Geoff Keighley and company revealed Prince of Persia: The Lost Crown, a new platformer with a 2d-sidescrolling vibe. It's due out on January 18, 2024, and the listed platforms include Nintendo Switch, PC, Xbox One, Xbox Series X/S, PS4, PS5, and Amazon Luna.
Based on the footage, locomotion is an important part of the game's flow, with airdashing in clear focus. Combos are also seemingly possible, as the nimble prince is able to juggle and grappling hook enemies in, "get over here" style. Ubisoft Forward will have more info on this new entry in the Prince of Persia franchise.
Welp! It's something to do before the Prince of Persia remake possibly never comes out!
