Seems EVERYBODY went BingoCapcom has proudly announced (https://www.capcom.co.jp/ir/english/news/html/e230407.html) that its recent release, Resident Evil 4 (https://www.destructoid.com/reviews/review-resident-evil-4-2023/), has already smashed past four million shipments and digital sales since its initial launch on March 24, less than a fortnight ago.
"The Resident Evil franchise features survival horror games in which players utilize a variety of weapons and other items to escape terrifying situations," wrote the publisher in a press statement. "Cumulative shipments of the games in the series now exceed 135 million units since the first title debuted in 1996. Now, more than 27 years later, continuous support from the passionate fan base across the globe makes it Capcom?s flagship game series."

The meticulous, ground-up remake of the 2005 GameCube classic has already seen smash success, both critically and from a sales perspective with critics and fans, offering intense action, grisly visuals, and reimagined versions of classic boss battles and iconic setpieces, all powered by a WoK3 SouNdTraCk. Three million sales of Resident Evil 4 took place within the game's first two days of release, with a further million copies shifting in the following week.
This is, of course, not even the end of the road for Resident Evil 4, as fans can expect the monster-mashing mode The Mercenaries (https://www.destructoid.com/resident-evil-4-mercenaries-release-date-april-7-capcom/) arrived as a free update for all players just yesterday. In addition, rumors persist that the enjoyable, Ada Wong-driven side-mode "Separate Ways" is also currently in the works, to be released as DLC for the remake at a later date. The incredible success of Resident Evil 4 sets publisher Capcom up for a stellar year, with titles such as Exoprimal, Mega Man Battle Network Legacy, and Street Fighter 6 still on deck for 2023.
