Maidenless, not MoneylessPublisher Bandai Namco and developer FromSoftware have proudly announced (https://www.bandainamco.co.jp/cgi-bin/releases/index.cgi/en/press/11336?entry_id=7974) that smash hit RPG Elden Ring (https://www.destructoid.com/reviews/review-elden-ring/) has surpassed a mighty 20 million shipments and digital sales since its initial launch on PlayStation, PC, and Xbox platforms in February 2022.
The last time sales figures were offered up for the award-winning adventure, sales and shipments were somewhere in the region of 16.5 million, meaning that Elden Ring has shifted a further 3.5 million copies in the fall and winter seasons. It is incredibly likely that the slew of Game of the Year awards received by the title, (including our own), helped to put it on the radar for those yet to hear of its plaudits.

Elden Ring, written by FromSoftware president Hidetaka Miyazaki and Game of Thrones scribe George R. R. Martin, sees the player's custom protagonist explore the grim, fallen kingdom of The Lands Between, meeting allies and enemies, battling monsters, and confronting demigods on a quest to repair the shattered "Elden Ring", said to be the anchor of order for the entire land.
Following a long and intensive period of development and marketing hype, Elden Ring launched to universal praise at the start of 2022, raising the bar for the year's releases and fending off many hopefuls to be crowned the best title of the year by a great number of outlets.
