What will the next few years bring for Nintendo?As we wait to see what Nintendo has up their sleeve next in terms of hardware (https://www.destructoid.com/is-it-time-for-nintendo-to-ditch-the-switch/), fans have endlessly created concepts based on that speculation. Not only have they come up with mockups for brand new systems; they've also crafted incredible official-looking spinoffs of existing hardware.
That includes this "Switch Lite OLED" (from Redditor willierthanyou (https://www.reddit.com/r/NintendoSwitch/comments/10thi7y/tears_of_the_kingdom_switch_lite_oled_mockup/)) themed after the upcoming Zelda: Tears of the Kingdom.
Would you buy a Switch Lite OLED?So far, Nintendo has released a Switch Lite (https://www.destructoid.com/review-nintendo-switch-lite/), and a Switch OLED (https://www.destructoid.com/review-nintendo-switch-oled/): but not a Switch Lite OLED. There's no such limitations in mockup land though, as this Switch Lite OLED goes with the color scheme from the logo (and the general aesthetic of the Zelda: Breath of the Wild Sheikah tech). The back is adorned with a Triforce symbol, along with a cool little neon effect. Since it's a Switch Lite, the Joy-Con do not detach.
The same creator also dabbled in a custom Zelda: Tears of the Kingdom Joy-Con mockup (https://www.reddit.com/r/NintendoSwitch/comments/10nevvq/custom_tears_of_the_kingdom_joy_cons/) (as well as a Switch Dock (https://www.instagram.com/p/CnAdmTKuaYj/)) if you're interested in these designs. It's just a matter of time until Nintendo unveils more official creations for all of their AAA games coming this year (https://www.destructoid.com/nintendo-reminds-us-of-the-current-2023-switch-release-slate/). For now, we can enjoy some more works from the community.
