Yes, it's that time of year again, as Geoff Keighley and pals, supported by an advisory board consisting of the most powerful company directors in gaming, take to the stage for a look back on mega hits that have been whirring in our HDDs (and SSDs) for the past year. And what a year it has been, populated with smash-hit sequels, epic adventure titles, the return of some M.I.A. IPs, and the debut of some entirely new worlds and characters. Sure, I know everything came out in the first three months of the year, but what's a calendar chockful of 2021's delayed games between friends?

And so, we'd like to invite you all to join us as we watch The Game Awards 2022. The pre-show kicks off in 30 minutes, with The Game Awards proper beginning at the top of the hour. Earlier today, Mr. Keighley suggested that this year's event would be "probably the shortest show [we've done] (https://twitter.com/geoffkeighley/status/1600888902033715200)", and is expected to run 2:30, filled with trailers, world premieres, live performances, developer appearances, and, of course, the awards themselves. Keighley also promises some "Big Theatrical Moments", so keep an eye out for those.
Of course, if you cannot watch the show this year, never fear, as we will be bringing you all of the big news and exciting reveals right here on the good ship Destructoid.
