Back in the RingGood morning, good summer, good weekend, and welcome to Whatcha Been Playing? As always, I hope that this has been a fine week for you and that this weekend brings you no small amount of joy and happiness. If you have the day off, that's well wicked, be sure to rest up and recover from the trials and tribulations of the working week. If you are at work, eesh, that's a little rougher, but I hope that you have a smooth shift and get home soon, where good times await you in the form of games, music, movies, hangouts, or simply going to bed. Bed is a pretty damn good option. Don't sleep on it. Wait...
Look, just make sure you create some personal happiness for yourself this weekend. That's my point.
Looking at the LightsSomehow, as somebody who struggles with video game multitasking, large crowds of people, and face-to-face competition, I've seen fit to pit my skills against hundreds of other players in a variety of games including Street Fighter V, DNF Duel, Super Turbo, and even Virtua Fighter 5. How am I gonna place? Probably pretty badly. Am I going to try my best? Of course, I am. And am I looking forward to getting some playtime with Street Fighter 6? (https://www.destructoid.com/street-fighter-6-capcom-dos-and-donts-destructoid-moyse-sf6-opinion/) You're durn tooting.
This will be (https://electronicdojo.co.uk/vsfighting/) my first physical gathering since the very early days of the pandemic, so I'm incredibly nervous, and I'm fighting anxiety hard. But I'm stacked with masks and sanitizer, and I ain't hugging nobody who ain't a Testament cosplayer. So wish me luck for the quartet of tourneys, and wish me luck for staying healthy and germ-free. I don't want to get sick, but I certainly don't wanna go 0-2.
I coulda been a contender...Anywhoo, before I get back to gritting my teeth, fist-bumpin' folk, and sarcastically hissing "GG", Id like y'all to kick off the weekend by telling us Whatcha Been Playing.
