A simple mod for a simple premiseA Stray (https://www.destructoid.com/reviews/review-stray-adventure-puzzle-game-ps5-version/) Garfield mod? I mean, I don't think I've been sold on something so quickly in 2022 as when I first eyed this clever creation.
When you think about it, it's something that almost should have been in the game already as a parody/unlock skin. But modder crubino managed to just say what we were all thinking, and has allowed everyone to play as Garfield in the fur with a mod that's fairly quick to install and get working.
I've said it before many times as an action game fan, but skins/outfits are such an easy way to get me to replay something; especially with added mechanics and VFX. While the Garfield mod doesn't have that yet (it's currently just a skin), that's the beauty of the modding community: someone could theoretically add quips/sound effects into the mix that are relevant to what's happening on screen. I'd play a "Quest for Odie" mod.
Stray Garfield mod download and instructionsTo install it, it's as easy as heading to this page from creator crubino (https://www.nexusmods.com/stray/mods/58), and extracting it into Stray/Hk_project/Content/Paks. That's it!
There are no restrictions on the mod, nor are there any known conflicts or extra requirements.
