So here's a quick rundown of how to redeem the free Shantae and the Pirate's Curse copy on GOG:
The landing page of the game is here (https://www.gog.com/en/game/shantae_and_the_pirates_curse): you'll need to click "go to giveaway" to head to the main site to actually redeem it
On this giveaway page (https://www.gog.com/#giveaway), you'll find the "add this game to your account" button roughly halfway in: just look for the Shantae image
You have roughly 46 hours from the time of publication to actually claim the game. Note that you'll need to (at least temporarily) agree with marketing communications from GOG to claim it, and have a logged-in account to boot.
Definitely do it, even if you have no intention of playing it anytime soon! Pirate's Curse is an interesting deviation from the Shantae formula, as it sees the titular character losing her genie powers in favor of going on a more traditional adventure. Some folks still consider it their favorite in the franchise, and given the aforementioned conceit, it's a great entry point.
